Manipulative Memory

Manipulative Memories is a work for Bassoon, Bari sax, and pre-recorded audio that seeks to explore the emotional trauma of a falling raindrop. This raindrop happens to have major separation anxiety and aren’t exactly keen on just falling out of their cloud. Before they know it they’re falling with those around them and the feelings and thoughts come rushing in. This piece also attempts to capture the feelings of enmeshment, or a relationship dynamic where personal boundaries are blurred or nonexistent, causing extensive emotional closeness and a lack of individual self.
